Home Visit And Estimate

Once you and/or your family members have made the decision to do something about your hoarding situation, we at Hoarding Pros will work with you to determine the scope of work involved and what the overall cost of the project will be. A thorough inspection of the home will be made and be the basis of putting a plan together to clear the clutter. At this time we will also start to identify attitudes, thoughts, and feelings that have led to the compulsive hoarding situation and begin to address the personal changes that need to take place in order to garner a permanent solution. Hoarding Pros will then supply you with a detailed estimate and a plan of all the steps involved in making your home clutter free, along with an overall cost. Even though we are Michigan's only full service hoarding clean-out company, we are proud to keep our rates at 15% to 25% less than our competition.

 

Counseling

Every hoarding clean-out is not just about the objects in the home, but about the "hoarder" , and what got them to this point. In order to effect long-term or permanent change in the situation, Hoarding Pros owner, Janet Kester LMSW, will conduct therapy sessions with the "hoarder" and involved family members, as part of every clean-out project. Janet will also be on-site at all times during the clean-out, in order to address any emotional issues that might arise.

 

Please keep in mind that Janet offers stand-alone counseling for those with hoarding difficulties and clutter control Issues, as well as their family members. It is not necessary to schedule a complete clean-out in order to schedule counseling services. Counseling is also available for those who want to know how to approach and help a "hoarder".

 

Clean-Out And Clean Up

Hoarding Pros "Clean Team", is made up of well trained, professional, courteous, and discreet men and women, under the supervision of our project manager. Depending on the size and scope of the project, our "Clean Team" will completely remove all the clutter from your home and dispose of it responsibly, in either a "Two Day," "Three Day," or "Four Day" clean-out operation. After the clutter is removed, your home will be thoroughly cleaned and organized for happy, healthy living.

 

Follow Up Care

Once your home has been decluttered, organized, and cleaned, we want to help you keep it that way. Janet will conduct follow up therapy sessions with the "hoarder," and family members, as part of the overall benefit of the project. Janet also offers long term therapy as an option.
